Epson ink cartridges have a memory chip that informs the printer how much ink is remaining in the cartridge. When the chip informs the printer that the cartridge is vacant, the printer software signals the consumer and declines to print. Unfortunately, a chip can tell the printer the ink is gone when it really isn’t. You can totally reset the chip in a printer cartridge by using a paper clip.
- Grasp one of the finishes of a metal document clip and fold it external. The end should be at a 90-degree position from the most of the paper clip.
- Remove the ink cartridge from the printer. Look on the end of the cartridge. You should see a processor with a little gap beneath.
- Insert the end of the document clip into the outlet and press down. Eliminate the paper clip.
- Insert the printer cartridge into the print head and proceed printing as regular.
