How to uninstall existing Dell Inkjet printer drivers

The very first step is to turn the printer on

Our next step is to check that the Dell laser printer is connected to the computer (USB cable, wireless or wired).  If the printer is not connected you may have problem removing the existing printer driver software.

Next step is to cancel any previous printing job commands in the queue, first we will discuss how to cancel the printing jobs; individual and all printing job, for Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows XP and Vista.

How to cancel individual document printing job for Windows 10

Type “devices and printers” in search box

Click on “Devices and Printers” (Control panel)

Right-click your printer’s icon

Click on “See What’s Printing”

Click the document you are trying to stop printing

Click “Document”

Click “Cancel”

Click “Yes” to confirm

To Cancel All Printing for Windows 10

Type “devices and printers” in search box

Click on “Devices and Printers” (Control panel)

Right-click your printer’s icon

Click on “See What’s Printing”

Click “Printer”

Click “Cancel All Documents”

Click “Yes” to confirm

To Cancel Individual Document for Windows XP

Click “Start” button, and open “Devices and Printers” and on the Start menu, click “Devices and Printers”

Click your printer’s icon

Click “See what’s printing” on the command bar

Right-click the document waiting to be printed

Click “Cancel”

Click “Yes” to confirm

To cancel all printing for Windows XP

You must have permission to manage documents on the printer to cancel all documents waiting to be printed.

Click Start button, and open “Devices and Printers” and on the Start menu, click “Devices and Printers”

Click your printer’s icon

Click “See what’s printing” on the command bar

Click the Printer menu

Click “Cancel All Documents”

Click “Yes” to confirm

The item currently printing might finish, but the remaining items will be canceled.

To Cancel Individual Document for Windows Vista

Click “Start” button

Open Printers by clicking “Control Panel”

Click “Hardware and Sound”

Click “Printer”

Double-click the printer that you are using

In the print queue, right-click the item that you want to stop printing, and then click Cancel

To cancel all printing for Windows Vista

Click “Start” button

Open Printers by clicking “Control Panel”

Click “Hardware and Sound”

Click “Printer”

Double-click the printer that you are using

Click the Printer menu

Click “Cancel All Documents”

Depending on the printer, the item currently printing might finish, but the remaining items will be cancelled.

To cancel Individual Document for Windows 7

Click “Start” button

On Start Menu click Devices and Printers

Open “Devices and Printers”

Click your printer’s icon

Click “See what’s printing” on the command bar

Right-click the document waiting to be printed

Click “Cancel”

Click “Yes” to confirm

To cancel all printing for Windows 7

Click “Start” button

On Start Menu click Devices and Printers

Click your printer’s icon

The item currently printing might finish, but the remaining items will be canceled

To cancel printing an Individual Document Windows 8

Move the mouse cursor to the upper right corner of the screen until the Charms Bar appears

Click “Search”

Click “Control Panel”

Using the drop down menu in the upper-right corner next to View by

Select “Category”

Click “View Devices and Printers”

Click your printer’s icon, and then click See What’s Printing on the command bar

Right-click the document you are trying to stop from printing

Click “Cancel”

Click ”Yes” to confirm

To cancel all printing for Windows 8

Move the mouse cursor to the upper right corner of the screen until the Charms Bar appears.

Click “Search”

Click “Control Panel”

Using the drop down menu in the upper-right corner, next to View by

Select “Category”

Click “View Devices and Printers”

Click your printer’s icon, and then click See What’s Printing on the command bar

On the menu bar click “Printer”

Click “Cancel All Documents”

Click “Yes” to confirm

After cancelling the printing jobs in queue next step is

Run the automated printer fix available from Microsoft

Next step is to uninstall the printer

For Windows 10 perform the following steps:

Type “Control Panel” in the Search box

Click “Control Panel” (Windows Application)

Click “Devices and Printers”

Right-click the desired printer (if your printer is not listed no further actions are needed)

Click “Remove Device” tab

The User Account Control window may appear, if

Click “Yes”

Click “Yes” to remove the Printer

For Windows 8.1 perform following steps:

Move the cursor to the upper right corner of the screen until the Charms Bar appears

Click “Settings”

Click “Change PC settings”

Click “PC and devices”

Click “Devices”

Click printer you want to remove

Click “Remove device”

Click “Yes” to remove the printer

For Windows 7 perform following steps:

Click “Start button”

Click “Devices and Printers”

Right-click the printer you desire to uninstall

Select Remove device

Click “Yes” to remove the printer

For Windows Vista perform following steps:

Click “Start”

Click “Control Panel”

Click “Printer”

Click “File”

Click “Server Properties”

Click the Driver tab

Click the driver(s) you want to remove

Click “Remove”

Click “Yes” to confirm the removal

Click “Close”

For Windows XP perform following steps:

Click “Start”

Click “Control Panel”

Click “Printers and Faxes”

Click “File”

Click “Server Properties”

Click “Driver tab”

Click the driver(s) you want to remove

Click “Remove”

Click “Yes” to confirm the removal
