How to Troubleshoot a Boost Mobile

Boost Mobile is a cellular provider based out of the United States. The company primarily specializes in selling prepaid cellular plans and phones. If you own a Boost Mobile cell phone, you may encounter issues with it over time. Fortunately, many of these problems can be corrected quickly using simple troubleshooting techniques.

  • Move your Boost Mobile phone away from speakers if you hear a hissing noise during a call. It is likely that the speakers are interfering with your phone.
  • Turn off your phone’s “Airplane Mode” if you are unable to connect to the cellular network (ie. make calls, send text messages, surf the web, etc.). This mode is designed to prevent your phone from interfering with aviation equipment used on airplanes. Press your phone’s “Menu” button and scroll down to the “Settings” menu and click on it. An option titled “Airplane Mode” will appear. Ensure that it is checked off.
  • Use only an official Boost Mobile charger to charge your phone if your phone will not charge. Using aftermarket chargers will often result in your phone not being able to charge.
  • Remove your phone’s battery from the rear of the device if your phone freezes and becomes unresponsive. Wait thirty seconds while your phone performs a reset. Replace the battery back into the phone and power it back on. Your phone will begin to function properly again.
