How to shrink volume and hard disk partition in windows 7

AS WE ALL KNOW THAT THE PHYSICAL HARD DRIVE IS PERMANENT YOU CAN NOT SHRINK OR EXTEND THE PHYSICAL HARD DRIVE. WE CAN USE THIS PHYSICAL HARD DRIVE BY DIVIDING IT IN TO THE VARIOUS LOGICAL HARD DRIVE WHICH IS CALLED HARD DISK PARTITION IN WINDOWS 7.
Now I explain you what is Shrink Volume suppose you by a new window laptop or desktop from the market with hard disk 500 GB but the complete 500 GB is mounted in to the single logical hard drive and you want it to be divide it in to the various logical hard drives. With the help of the Shrink Volume and you can get this shrink volume in to the Windows Disk Management. With the help of this you can shrink the c: drive and get free and allocated space after that you can convert it into the logical disk partition.
Step 1: Go to the Disk management console by control panel or by the Run press window + R to open run and typediskmgmt.msc in the run and hit enter.
Step 2: Now right click on the primary partition and select the option shrink volume it will show the complete space before shrink and size available for shrink you can also give the space according to your choice and it will show the space available after the shrink.
Step 3: Now select the shrink size as it will show you total size and the max size available to shrink.
Now after you finished with the shrink process the space available to you in the form of allocated or free space.

Concept of shrink volume/ Hard Disk Partition.
We can do it with the help of windows Disk management.
Step 1: Open the disk management with the run box.
Press window +R to open run.
In run type diskmgmt.msc
We can only shrink the primary partition.
Now the 32 GB is free or unallocated space available to you for new logical partition after the shrinking of the c: drive.
